Here at runr, we believe that it doesn't matter how far your run, how fast you run or how often you run, but what we do believe is that anyone who is passionate about running can be considered a runr.

As we look to spread the word of who we are and what we believe in, we're starting to bring together group of people to be part of #Teamrunr. These are like minded people who share our passion and who will help get the message out there of what runr represents.

We'd like to welcome to #Teamrunr:

Name:
Ruth Bennett

Location:
Worcester, UK.

Best thing about running:
The freedom to do it anywhere and the places it can take you.

Favourite distance to run and why:
Marathon - because you have to learn to show it respect and I love the discipline of training for one.

Who inspires you in the world of running:
Personally, my Dad because before he died we used to run together and this is how I learnt to love running. Also my husband who has the best outlook on training of anyone I know. 'famous' runners would be Paula Radcliffe - I love absolutely everything about her! And Eliud Kipchoge for his amazing mental attitude.

What's your tried and tested pre run routine:
Always eat! Then get up and go - don't think about it too much - just do it! Loud music on, always.

What's you favourite post run recovery:
Coffee with my running friends and my family :)

Best thing about running:
You can always achieve more. You can go further, get faster or just become better.

Favourite distance to run and why:
10k. Far enough to get a great workout but short enough to really go for it! Perfect distance.

Who inspires you in the world of running:
I have always been inspired by Hunter McIntyre. He is incredibly strong, fast and a champion in the world of obstacle course racing. Plus he is an absolute DUDE!!

Tried and tested per run routine:
Over years of not warming up properly, I have really started to see the benefits of a full warm up, especially for short snappy runs. Love a running drill!

Favourite post run recovery:
Always have a chocolate protein shake immediately after amy run but nothing beats Pizza after a long run!

The best thing about running is it truly helps clear my mind. I’ve made some of my best life decisions while running!

Favourite distance to run and why:
My favourite distance to run day to day is 10KM. When completing a race a half marathon always feels amazing

Who inspires you in the world of running:
My mom inspired me to start running, I also follow some of my friends on Instagram that are inspiring and love seeing other runners on Instagram! They keep me motivated!

Tried and tested pre run routine:
You must stretch!!! I cannot say this enough, it helps you get better and prevents injury. I also start my run with a 500 meter walk

Favourite post run recovery:
After each run I stretch again and replenish my body to ensure I am fully hydrated. Then a nice hot shower, the heat does wonders on my tired muscles
