I took part in Miles for Mind 2018 and really enjoyed the experience. I have found that running benefits my personal mental health and wellbeing so signed up again in 2019. I then mentioned this at a Social Squad meeting and was thrilled when our CEO said that it was a great cause to support and that MyOptique through the Social Squad would pay the entry fee for all those who wanted to participate. I genuinely did not expect so many colleagues to get behind Miles for Mind in the way that they did. Colleagues decided to walk on their lunch breaks and get together at the weekend too to boost their mileages. Although each employee set their own personal challenges it helped foster a collaborative and competitive approach to clocking up the miles whilst raising awareness around mental health and exercise.
